We believe the following word of God by the Prophet Isaiah, which the Lord proclaimed for those He has given the grace to walk in this burden in the heart of God. We have received it as the modus operandi for this group within the body of Christ.
Isaiah 62:6 “I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence”.
We see that God Almighty set watchmen and intercessors in every nation and land to watch and control the spiritual activities of heavenly realms within the sphere of their assignment by ministering unto the Lord, day and night.
The word of God assures us that the Almighty God does not do anything without telling His servants amongst who are the intercessors. They have been given a grace to understand the heartbeat of God in different seasons. And they watch the gates of the city to do spiritual battle controlling what goes in or comes out of the city, as they appropriate the victory won at Calvary
At Forerunner Canada our hearts have received a message from God to go and gather all the ‘called intercessors’ within the boundary of this land to arise to their watch. The Lord has established for us provisions searched out in the scriptures to enable us walk in the calling of God upon our lives.
Jeremiah31:6 “ For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God”.
Isaiah 52:8 “Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion.”
We like to make a clarion call unto all intercessors and those who have felt a leading by Spirit of God to engage in prayer for the land at whatever level we may find ourselves. This call is to awaken our hearts to the message each of us have carried for so long that we shall see the Salvation of our God in the land and a revival in our generation. At ForeRunner Canada; we believe that Jehovah God has set in the church of our Lord Jesus, men and women who have the calling of God upon their lives according to the will of God that they occupy the positions of elders at the gates of the nations. These are those who have received the mandate to steward the sheep of the Lord and be shepherds in the sphere of influence that God has placed them. They have also received delegated powers by virtue of their offices and were authorized to act for their constituency.
Numbers 11:16-17
"And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee. And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone".
Through intercession, by wisdom and knowledge, they build the houses in the nations. These are the “privileged called” to carry the burden of the heart of the father, as Jehovah God enfolds His plans in each generation unto His people. These include the intercessors in the very well know “Five Fold Ministry” as described in Ephesians 4: 11-13.
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ".
We are convinced that even in our days, the body of Christ, the Church, has been given these men and women in the offices they occupy by the will of the father and that they may function together to benefit the people in fulfilling the corporate purpose for the church.
